In addition to our immediate response area, LBSAR supports neighboring teams with search and rescue capabilities. A large percentage of LBSAR’s total calls have been in support of neighboring teams. As these searches have occurred as far north as Terrace and as far south as Washington State, this primary vehicle’s importance in accessing rescue scenes becomes readily apparent. The main benefit as a sponsor is contributing to the community and ensuring that there is a safety net in the Lions Bay and Lower Mainland area for backcountry enthusiasts and recreational backcountry users alike.
